Wisconsin, the great unknown world next door

We're off to Wisconsin... I plan to spend a chunk of time sitting in front of that upper left window, watching the eagles over the lake while I sew. Josh is bringing his trains and Chris is going to read and draw Celtic knotwork. Bappa J. and Nana C. are joining us there. Josh is very excited about this trip. He remembers the cabin (from last November!) and has been asking all day if it's time to go yet. Tomorrow, monkey!

We'll spend a couple days there, but have to be back for some meetings and Chris's work. The disadvantage of working for a small company is that you really have to plan vacation in advance (as in, a couple months). Chris went to put a vacation request in and found out that one of the other 3 guys was already off that week. So we are improvising and taking a few weekdays now and a few weekdays (with my family) in a week and a half. Kind of sad that it's October and we're just now heading on a vacation (more than one night). Between Sunday school and our jobs, things have just been too crazy to get away.
