Josh got a rash over the weekend. I took him in to the pediatrician this morning, thinking it was an allergic reaction or just his sensitive skin. He has scarlatina (scarlet fever). He complained of a stomach ache a couple days ago, but nothing more, so we had no clue. He's been acting and feeling normal. It's funny, because I want to throw him outside to play and then remember, oh yeah, he's sick. He played outside for over 2 hours today, after getting home from the doctor's. Crazy kid! He looks like he has heat rash all over his body, but it's not red everywhere.
"Scarlet fever?! That hasn't been around since the 1800's!" --Chris's reaction when I called him with the diagnosis.
